The Legislative Assembly and the Metropolitan
Cathedral of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres,
with a brief stop at the São
Gonçalo do Amarante viewpoint
and chapel. The excursion proceeds
to Praça Floriano Peixoto,
the church of Bom Jesus dos Martírios,
the Governor’s Palace, Teatro
Deodoro and the Alagoas Literature
Academy, among other attractions.

Praia
do Francês
A trip to one of the liveliest and
most beautiful beaches on the southern
Alagoas coast, its turquoise waters
being the magic spell that attracts
tourists from far and wide. The reefs
calm the waves and invite visitors
into the warm sea. The trip includes
a visit to Barra de São Miguel,
where there are restaurants with an
extensive menu of delicious regional
dishes.
An optional boat trip provides an
opportunity for snorkelling and scuba

trip – Praia do Gunga
After the journey
to Barra de São Miguel, where
we board the schooner, we sail through
the magificent landscape of the Lagoa
do Roteiro to land at the paradise
beach of Gunga.
Renowned for its lush coconut groves
and extraordinary beauty, Gunga has
been voted one of Brazil’s ten
most beautiful beaches by a respected
Brazilian travel guide.
With facilities for tourists, the
beach also offers the chance to visit
the famous cliffs.

Duas
Barras Beach - Marapé
Dunes
Located on the southern Alagoas coastline,
Duas Barras is in the municipality
of Jequiá da Praia. A short
boat crossing enables visitors to
enjoy this enchanting beach with white
sands, gently protected by an offshore
reef. Nearby are the inviting waters
of the River Jequiá, an ideal
bathing location in this corner of
paradise. Home to friendly monkeys
and other regional species, the lush
native vegetation is delightful, whilst
the dunes and cliffs sculpted by the
elements provide a magnificent backdrop
for a stroll along the beach.
The Dunas de Marapé complex
provides bar and restaurant services
with regional cuisine.

Boat trip to
the mouth of the River São
Francisco
Following the coconut-lined road to
the town of Piaçabuçu,
on the banks of the “Old Chico”,
we board a boat for the mouth of the
longest totally Brazilian river.
Exotic scenery of virgin nature graces
every step of the way. Shifting dunes
and a broad beach of fine sand that
welcomes migratory birds are the main
attractions of this unforgettable
region. As it’s an environmental
preservation area, the only facilities
available are on the boat.

Penedo
170 km from Maceió
on the the banks of the River São
Francisco, which forms the southern
border of Alagoas, the town of Penedo
is a treasure trove of living history,
having been the stage for important
events in colonial Brazil. Comprising
museums, houses, churches and convents,
the Baroque architecture that dates
from the 16th century has great appeal
for tourists with an interest in culture.

Praia
de Paripueira – Tide Pools
This trip takes visitors north from
Maceió to the beach of Paripueira,
famous for its calm, shallow waters.
This magnificent location is within
the Coral Coast Environmental Preservation
Area, home to the Municipal Marine
Park that contains the world’s
second largest coral reservation and
also a preservation area for the marine
manatee.
The main attractions include the tide
pools, formed between coral-lined
reefs and containing a great wealth
of sea life, such as colourful fish
that play among the bathers. An ideal
place for snorkeling, there are also
optional visits to Praia de Sonho
Verde and by boat to the reef pools,
depending on the tide.
There are restaurant services with
a regional menu and complete tourist
facilities.

Barra
de Santo Antônio – Ilha
da Croa
On the banks
of the River Santo Antônio,
in the municipality of Barra de Santo
Antônio, we begin the catamaran
trip to the Isle of Croa, formed by
sand banks. Proceeding through the
mangroves, the trip is ideal for enjoying
the immense peace provided by contact
with nature.
Optional trips leave the island for
the cliffs and beach of Carro Quebrado.
The riverside restaurant Estrela Azul
serves local seafood dishes.

Maragogi Beach- Galés
At the northernmost point of the Alagoas
Gold Coast, Maragogi is a location
blessed with the exuberant beauty
of it beaches and splendid galés
(a reef complex named after old shipwrecks),
about 6 km offshore. With an amazing
eco-system formed by natural pools
among coral-lined reefs, the crystal-clear
waters make it an ideal place for
snorkelling and scuba-diving.
The optional catamaran trip to the
galés depends on the tide,
whilst the beach has complete facilities
with full restaurant and bar services.
